Carina Berg has finished hosting her last show as part of the Melodifestivalen.
- “I feel a bit exhausted,” she mentioned to Aftonbladet post the broadcast.
After the Melodifestivalen final last Saturday, the 46-year-old Carina Berg appeared before the press, tired but happy.
- “I’m overwhelmed and very happy. I thought it was so much fun,” she expressed.
The honorary role demanded more energy than expected.
- “The entire project turned out to be much larger than anticipated. I knew it was a massive project that would require a lot from me, but it exceeded my expectations. It was truly massive, and I had to engage all my mental faculties continually to keep it on track.”
She now looks forward to a planned period of rest.
- “There will be more work ahead, but for now, I intend to take a break,” she shared, catching her breath.
Dealing with Criticism During Melodifestivalen
Carina Berg shared that she chose to avoid reactions regarding her hosting performance during the journey.
While hosting Melodifestivalen, hosts have faced varied reactions from viewers and critics regarding scripts and interval acts, receiving both praise and criticism.
Berg had previously voiced her doubts about hosting every week.
- “I know what the neighbor, mom, and mother-in-law think. Naturally, I hear comments like ‘this worked well.’ When it comes to specific feedback, I rely on my experienced colleagues,” she clarified after the final.
A Message: “Show a Little Extra Kindness”
- “It’s lovely that everyone has a voice and can share their thoughts. There’s something very democratic and beautiful about it,” Berg remarked.
However, she stresses the importance of kindness in feedback.
- “The best approach is to show a little more kindness than necessary,” she emphasized.
